Health Promotion Services

Health Promotion Services supports and educates students to help them make healthy decisions about their lifestyle and behavior

Services

  • Individual preventive counseling and resource referral by appointment concerning these issues: nutrition, weight management, athletic performance, eating and body image, alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, sexual assault and harassment, relationships, intimacy, gender issues and sexual health

  • Health education speakers, programs, events and workshops at student residences, community centers, student organizations and for new students (such as Real World: Stanford)

  • Academic courses and internships

  • Student health groups, including peer health educators

Staff

The staff is a combination of professional health educators and students in leadership roles
