Health Insurance

All registered students are required to have health insurance. Cardinal Care, a University-sponsored plan for students, fulfills this requirement.

Cardinal Care Features

  • Comprehensive, world wide coverage, including medical, surgical and mental health care, hospitalization, emergency care and most pharmaceuticals

  • Insured by Health Net of California (medical) and ValueOptions (mental health)

  • Cost of care depends upon the provider selected by the student. Lowest costs occur when one initiates care at Vaden Health Center

  • When obtaining care off campus, students should follow directions on their individualized ID card
