About Us
The Stanford Women's Wellness Network was established in the summer
quarter of 2001. This group emerged in a grassroots style in direct
response to the needs of graduate women in general, but also graduate
women of color specifically. Our effort is to foster an environment in
which personal growth, healthy choices, and positive community values
are
encouraged. This is accomplished by awakening our awareness to realize
that wellness includes the Social, Occupational, Spiritual, Physical,
Intellectual, Emotional, Cultural, and Environmental. Our primary goal
intends to encourage the Stanford community to discover the benefits and
maintain balance in their lives.
We are committed to create programs, plan wellness events, and encourage
women to become models in wellness. We welcome your input, ideas, and
participation. For information about participating in the wellness network
or leaving feedback, please feel free to contact
us.
